Brita Osmundsvaag Formato joins T-Omega Wind to accelerate the Company’s goal of radically redesigning offshore wind

Boston, Massachusetts Oct 19, 2021 (Issuewire.com) - Today T-Omega Wind, Inc. announced the appointment of Brita Osmundsvaag Formato as its Chief Executive Officer. T-Omega Wind is a Boston-based offshore wind innovator that is working to commercialize a new approach to building and deploying offshore wind turbines.

According to T-Omega Wind co-founder, Andy Myers: “We are excited to have attracted a CEO of Ms. Formato’s caliber and vision, with decades of experience in the energy business, including both electricity generation and oil and gas, to lead the financing, piloting, and commercial deployment of our novel turbine designed for low cost, expansive deployability, and high local labor utilization.”

Brita Osmundsvaag Formato is a seasoned energy industry executive. Most recently she worked for Duke Energy, an electric and gas utility, where she led the company’s business ventures in electric vehicles. During her time at Duke, Brita held executive positions in corporate development, strategy, and risk management for the company’s domestic and international businesses.  Before joining Duke Energy, Brita worked for ExxonMobil’s Refining and Supply business in Fairfax, VA. She also worked as a strategy consultant for Mercer Management Consulting in Washington, D.C., and for Equinor, a global oil and gas company, in both Norway and in the United States.  

Born in Norway, Brita has worked on three continents and has led high-performing teams to build and execute corporate strategy.  Brita is a graduate of Columbia Business School in New York City where she earned her MBA.
