As we envision a cleaner energy future, the world is seeking access to more affordable and reliable green energy sources.
There is an abundance of wind in the world. However, gaining access to it, especially offshore, is a challenge. At T-Omega Wind we are working on a solution that will harness the power of offshore wind in a more affordable and accessible way. The T-Omega solution is radically redesigning offshore wind turbines.
Our unique idea is to design specifically for the ocean environment, rather than using a land style turbine. By allowing wind yawing around the anchor, we can use a more efficient (lighter) tower and support, designed to be manufactured and launched by small businesses at existing ports.
Our solution provides the flexibility to deliver carbon free electricity. We believe our turbine can enable the transition to a more profitable clean energy future.
Our Story
T-Omega Wind was started in 2018 when Andy Myers and Jim Papadopoulos began exploring ways to break down the cost and infrastructure barriers to large scale deployment of offshore wind. They combined the technical knowledge and expertise to create a viable solution to accelerate the adoption of floating offshore wind.
